Google approached Goodby Silverstein & Partners in the fall of 2024. They wanted us to take Veo, Google Deepmind's model for generative AI video for a spin, see if what we could do with it. We uncovered an unrealized screenplay from 1937 by Dalí. Fantastic, surreal, impossible to make then. But now ... ? During the project Veo 2 was released, and we quickly adapted to the new, even more impressive model The trailer premiered at Google Cloud NEXT 2025, where Jeff Goodby and I introduced it on stage. Later the same year, Google showcased the film at I/O 2025 as an example of the best work made with Veo 2, before releasing Veo 3 on stage.
